Project Description

Tus Nua

Working directly with people who are experiencing problems with substance misuse, mental health issues and homelessness.

As part of FAST’s ongoing commitment towards social inclusion , we work in conjunction with Tus Nua to support individuals experiencing problems with drugs and /or alcohol.

Our process is :

  • To carry out initial and comprehensive assessment(s) on all service users
  • To provide key working, case management and care plan development supports with service users
  • To build relationships and establish referral links with local and National service providers
  • To facilitate psycho-education and therapeutic group work

Our Approach

Contingency Management Interventions / Motivational Incentives (for adults who use alcohol, stimulants, opioids, etc)

Research has demonstrated the effectiveness of treatment approaches using contingency management (CM) principles, which involve giving participants tangible rewards to reinforce positive behaviors such as abstinence.

BECOME A VOLUNTEER

FAST is a non-profit organisation and as such we often lack the resources to advance and develop our services as quickly as we would often wish to. Volunteering is a wonderful opportunity for you to give something to your community. There are many ways to volunteer your time and expertise to the benefit of FAST and the Finglas community.
