We, at FAST, are facilitating two upcoming Motivational Interviewing (MI) training dates for those who wish to avail of a one day introduction to Motivational Interviewing, or those who wish to avail of a half day refresher to reconnect and refresh their MI style and skills.

Both training days have been allocated CPD points by Addiction Counsellors of Ireland (ACI)

The National Drugs Strategy 2017- 2025 was published last week by the Department of Health.

It is a health-led document outlining the responce to drug and alcohol use in Ireland.

We had a Lovely day on Wednesday 19th July for our Family Fun Day we had fun and games, food, raffle, music, face painting; fuse ball and so much more.

It was lovely to see past and present family support and their children & grandchildren for a great day.

We would like to thank everyone who donated food, prizes and there time for that day. Also to T.D Dessie Ellis, Richie Stafford, John Bennett the Lord mayor of Finglas and Councillor Teresa Keegan for taking the time to come down and visit us to thank all our staff it was a huge success.

A very interesting read in regard to the most recent report from the Health Research Board (HRB) outlining the figures for people treated for problem alcohol use in Ireland between 2009- 2015.
